The funeral for Irene Aipperspach will be Monday, June 15, 2020 at 3:00 PM at First Baptist Church, Wishek, ND. Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 14, 2020 from 5-7 PM at Dahlstrom Funeral Home, Wishek, ND. Burial will be held at the Wishek City Cemetery.

Irene Aipperspach, daughter of Fred and Lydia (Bender) Woehl, was born February 6, 1923 at the family farm in rural McIntosh County. She received her education in a rural school and lived at home, helping on the farm, until her marriage. Irene married David Aipperspach on November 6, 1945. They were married for 66 years, farming together, before David passed away December 10, 2011.

Irene became a member of First Baptist Church of Wishek, when rural Beaver Creek Baptist Church closed its doors. At First Baptist, Irene served as a Sunday school teacher and Vacation Bible School teacher for many years. She was also active in the Women's Missionary Society, serving in various roles over the years.

Irene died June 10, 2020 at the Wishek Living Center. She was 97 years old

Irene is survived by her daughter Louise (Ralph) Hammon; three grandchildren, Elizabeth (Zakk) Wells, David Hammon and Ivan (Jasmine) Hammon; three great-grandchildren, Thomas, Orion and Camille Hammon, all of Lewisville, TX and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband David, son Claude David, three sisters and one brother.
