Idella (Hiller) Vossler, age 88, left us to be with her Lord and Savior on September 9, 2025.  She was born on December 8, 1936 in Wishek, ND to Rebecca (Vilhauer) Hiller and Walter Hiller. Attended Wishek High School and after graduation in 1954 went to Minot State College for the 1954-55 school year. Returned to Wishek and married her high school sweetheart Harlen (Harley) A Vossler on October 16, 1955. Completed her 4 year teaching degree in 1969 by attending UND- Ellendale and Valley City State with a combination of summer school, extension and correspondence courses.

Idella taught all grades in rural school for 2 years, 5th grade in Lehr, ND for 4 years and 2nd grade in Wishek, ND for 31 years. Retired in 1993 and estimated that she had taught over 800 students in her career. Was awarded the ND Retired Teachers Association - Silver Apple Award in 2007-08.

Was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church, Wishek. An active member of the women's organization there and after retiring from teaching was the Cluster President of ELCW for 8 years covering 17 churches and a Board Member of Women of Western ND Syndical for ELCA. Traveled across ND and to national meetings in these role and made many friends.

Idella was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a two time cancer survivor and her faith, kindness, determination and strength was evident  how she approached the challenges and joys of life. She was avid reader and enjoyed ceramics, painting, crocheting, knitting and playing bridge. She and her husband attended high school sports as her children grew up and she was a faithful prayer partner to many children over the years. As grandparents, Idella and Harlen kept each grandchild for their "special week" each summer where they doted on them and created special memories. She actually potty trained all of the grandchildren often with that happening during that week. Her great grandchildren provided her much joy in recent years.

Preceded in death by her parents, Rebecca (Vilhauer) and Walter Hiller; in-laws Arthur and Pauline Vossler; brothers infant Walter Hiller, Jr. and Howard Hiller and sister Mabel Boschee;  step fathers, William Hoff and Sam Hochhalter; step brother Gordon (Corky) Hoff and step sisters Elizabeth (Hoff) Paul and Marian (Hoff) Lewis.

Survived by her loving husband of almost 70 years Harlen (Harley) Vossler; children Kimberly (Steven) Lattu, Todd (Margie) Vossler, Kip (Kris) Vossler; grandchildren Eric (Amber)Vossler, Rebecca Lattu, Jacob (Kirby)Vossler, Troy Vossler, Kelsey Vossler and Jenna Lattu; great grandchildren Kellen, Malachi, Briar, Idella, Harlen and Zada; brothers Harlen (Janice) Hiller and  Larry (Renee) Hoff; step sister Charlotte (Hoff) Biemueller and other relatives and friends.

Celebration of life will be held Friday, September 12th at 1:00 pm at St. Luke Lutheran Church in Wishek, ND. A livestream of Idella's funeral service will be available on the St. Luke Wishek YouTube Page.
