Ida (Adelida) Doll, age 101, of Dawson, North Dakota, moved peacefully to Heaven with family by her side at her home on December 26, 2025. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am on Monday, January 5, 2026, at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, Napoleon. Burial will take place at a later date at St. Philip Neri Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 4, 2026, from 5:00 – 7:00 pm with a rosary/vigil service at 7:00 pm at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church. On August 18, 1924, a child of God was born to Anton and Anne (Horner) Silbernagel. Ida lived a life marked by gentleness, faith, and a true servant's heart. She received her education at a local country school, Manheim #3 School, through the eighth grade. At that time, she was needed at home to help care for her ten siblings, prepare meals, and tend to the many daily chores of farm life—responsibilities she accepted with quiet strength and devotion.

Ida was united in marriage to George Doll Jr. on October 26, 1948, at St. Anthony Church in rural Napoleon.  Their first home was a farm south of Napoleon.  In 1956, they moved to their present farm north of Napoleon, where Ida spent many years working alongside her husband and raising their family.

Family was the greatest treasure of Ida's life. She held a special place in her heart for her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, each of whom she loved deeply. Ida was no stranger to hard work and had many passions. She planted a large garden, enjoyed canning, and was especially known for her homemade jelly—chokecherry being her favorite. She played an active role in supporting the family farm, which included milking cows, raising chickens, and keeping the coal stove burning. Ida loved to cook and bake and found great joy in sharing meals at her table with anyone who stopped by.

Ida enjoyed singing, dancing, playing cards with family and neighbors, and taking trips to Medora with special friends. Her faith remained central throughout her life, and she was a devoted member of St. Philip Neri Catholic Church and the Christian Mothers.

Ida is survived by her children: two sons, Gary (Kathleen Braun) Doll of Fargo/Dawson and Ron (Carrie Sugden) Doll of Sterling; four daughters, Lori (Don) Braun of Tappen, Mary (Gerald) Horner of Dawson, Marie (Dana) Marsden of Monument, CO, and Marilyn (Gary) Goldade of Rugby; two brothers, Clem Silbernagel of Gackle and Don Silbernagel of Kathryn; one sister, Luella Kent of Georgia; 19 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren, and many nieces, and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George Doll Jr in August 2005; her parents, Anton and Anne Silbernagel; brothers John, Vincent, Joseph, George, Anton, and Gabriel Silbernagel; sisters Anna Mary and Theresa Silbernagel; sisters-in-law Joni Silbernagel, Sandy Silbernagel, and Theresia Doll-Silbernagel; and brother-in-law Endel Kent.

Ida's legacy of faith, hard work, hospitality, and unconditional love will live on in the many lives she touched.
