The graveside service for Helen Ritter, Plymouth, MN formerly of Wishek, ND will be held Monday, May 4, 2015 at 1:00 PM at St. Luke Lutheran Cemetery, Wishek, ND. Funeral services were held Saturday, May 2, 2015 at 11:00 AM at the Lord of Life Lutheran Church, Maple Grove, MN.

Helen Catherine Granas daughter of George and Alvina (Wolfe) Granas was born September 3, 1927 at Bismarck, ND. She grew up and graduated from Napoleon High School, Napoleon, ND in 1945. Helen married Elmer Ritter on July 14, 1946 at St. Mathew Lutheran Church at Napoleon, ND. After marrying, they moved on Elmer's family farm where they spent the next 48 years farming together. In 1994 they sold the farm and moved to Wishek where they spent the next 9 years. In 2003 they moved to Plymouth, MN to be closer to their daughter.

Helen died Wednesday, April 29, 2015 at St. Therese Nursing Home, New Hope, MN. She was 87 years old.

Helen is survived by, two daughters, Sharon (Steven) Dempsey, Los Angeles, CA and Cori (Kevin) Evanson, Maple Grove, MN; 4 grandchildren, Olivia Evanson, Cole Evanson, both of Maple Grove, MN, Nicholas (Samantha) Ritter, Melrose, FL, Dustin (Beth) Laine, Fair Oaks, CA, 1 great grandson, Joseph Laine, one sister, Eileen Hickcox, Bismarck, ND. Helen was preceded in death by her husband Elmer; son Bruce Ritter; daughter Cathy Laine and granddaughter Wendy Ritter.
