The funeral for Helen D. Fischer, Lehr, ND will be Thursday, August 17, 2017 at 11:00 AM at the Zion United Methodist Church at Lehr, ND.  Visitation will be one hour before the service at the church in Lehr, ND.  Burial will be at the Ellendale City Cemetery, Ellendale, ND.
Helen Huse was born to Herman and Bertha (Hill) Huse on June 20, 1922 at Long Prairie, Minnesota.  Helen went to High School in Ellendale, ND and also attended College there.  Helen married Theophil Fischer on June 30 ^, 1946.  Helen taught school for 18 years in McIntosh and Logan counties and also in Wahpeton, ND.  During this time, they had two children, Floyd and Fayette. Helen liked to travel and work with her flowers.  She also sewed, painted and did some carpentry work.  She was always busy doing something. Helen will be missed greatly by all.
Helen passed peacefully away Thursday, August 10, 2017 at the Wishek Living Center, Wishek, ND.  She was 95 years old.
Helen is survived by her two children, Floyd (Joyce Baltzer), Marion, Iowa and Fayette Fischer, Janesville, WI, two grandchildren and five great grandchildren and her sister Violet Entzi, Lehr, ND.  She was preceded in death by her husband Theophil, her brothers Wilford and Harold, her sister Marjorie Okerstrom and her granddaughter, Susan Fischer Hughes.
