Heidi
Nantt
Jun 14, 1966 — Jan 14, 2023
Heidi Nantt, 56, of Wishek, ND, loving wife and mother of three children passed away with her family by her side on January 14, 2023 at the Wishek Hospital. Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 20, 2023 at 11:00 AM at St. Luke Lutheran Church, Wishek. Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 19, 2023 from 5-7 PM with a prayer service at 7:00 PM at St. Luke Lutheran Church. Burial will be held at St. Luke Cemetery in the spring.
Heidi was born on June 14th, 1966 in Devils Lake, ND to John and Jean (Clock) Ivesdal. She attended high school there and was active in band and cheerleading. On August 23rd, 1986 Heidi married the love of her life- Lyle Nantt, in Devils Lake, ND. She received her associates nursing degree and LPN from Dickinson State University and worked as a nurse, and then social worker at the Wishek Living Center for many years. While living in Wishek, Heidi and Lyle raised their two sons Tyler and Josh and daughter Rachel.
Heidi had many passions and was an all around loving, fun, and exciting person. She credits a lot of her spontaneous qualities from her years as a cheerleader in Devils Lake, something she was always proud of. A quality her family is so grateful for, as she was always their biggest cheerleader. Heidi loved to spend time with her friends and family golfing in the summer. In the evenings, Heidi enjoyed her time at Green Lake with her friends and husband. When the weather got cold Heidi would often go ice fishing with her family. She loved Arizona and considered it her "happy place". Heidi was a huge fan of ABBA, cheesy scary movies, the Minnesota Vikings, and playing pinochle with her family. She was known for being the life of the party, having an infectious smile, and compassionate spirit.
In August 2020, Heidi had been diagnosed with cholangiocarcinoma. The unimaginable pain she experienced in the past two years alone was enough to break anyone's spirit, but never Heidi's. She was so incredibly brave and strong through it all and had an amazing support system to help her. Heidi lived her life as best as she could with an open heart despite her life circumstances, her faith never wavering. She lived life to the fullest and made incredible memories while she could.
Heidi had so many amazing qualities, and such a wonderful impact on so many people. She was always so thoughtful, and always showed people what they meant to her. Heidi was a one-of-a-kind friend, mother, and wife. She will be greatly missed.
Heidi is survived by her husband, Lyle; her children, Tyler, Josh and Rachel; grandchildren, Cadence and Josh; her mother, Jean; her sister, Jody; and brothers Greg (John), Neil, and Rodney.
Heidi was preceded in death by her father, John Ivesdal.
