The funeral for Harvey C. Schulz, 90, LaMoure, ND formerly of Edgeley, ND. will be held Saturday, January 5 ^, 2019 at 10:30 am at Zion Lutheran Church, Edgeley, ND.  Visitation will be held Friday, January 4, 2019 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM with a prayer service at 7:00 PM at Dahlstrom Funeral Home, Kulm, ND.  Burial will be at Mount Hope Cemetery at Edgeley, ND.

Harvey Schulz, son of Frank and Florence (Deutz) Schulz was born February 29, 1928 at Edgeley, ND.  He grew up and attended school and graduated in 1945.  Harvey entered the Navy in 1945 and served his country until 1947.  He married Ruby Retzlaff January 27, 1947 at Geneva, New York.  After serving in the Navy, Harvey and Ruby returned to Edgeley, ND and took over the family farm.  Farming was his life not a job. Harvey loved to bowl and was one frame from a perfect score.  He loved to play softball and hunting with his cousins. He loved to dance and play cards. He was on the Nora Township Board for over 30 years.   Harvey semi-retired in 2002 when they moved into Edgeley, ND.  They moved into Manor St. Joseph at Edgeley, ND in 2014. In the fall of 2018 they moved to St. Rose Care Center at LaMoure, ND.  Harvey's greatest pride was his faith in Jesus.  Harvey was a lifelong member of Zion Lutheran Church at Edgeley and served as an usher in the old church.  Harvey loved to visit and was a talker and was very proud of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Harvey died Tuesday, January 1, 2019 at the St. Rose Care Center in LaMoure, ND.  He was 90 years old.

Harvey is survived by his wife of 72 years, Ruby, LaMoure, ND; two sons, Marvin (Jolene) Schulz, Edgeley, ND and Jerome Schulz, Jamestown, ND; six grandchildren, Amy Gibson, Brock (Danielle) Schulz, Erica (Tim)  Hess, Dusty (Kelly) Schulz, Samantha (Cal) Perleberg and Cody Schulz; six great-grandchildren, Amanda Schulz, Kelton Schulz, Charlie Schulz, Betty Schulz, Meryl Perleberg, Bode Hess and two step great-grandchildren, Mckayla Hess and Travis Hess.   Harvey was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Florence Schulz.  Share memories and sign online guestbook at www.dahlstromfuneralservice.com .  Dahlstrom Funeral Home, Kulm, ND entrusted with arrangements.
