Gregory Pechtel, 73, of Napoleon, passed away June 30, 2021. A visitation will take place to honor Gregory on Wednesday, July 7, 2021 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Dahlstrom Funeral Home, Napoleon, ND.

Gregory Randall Pechtel was born December 11, 1947 to Willard and Berniece (Parr) Pechtel in Crookston, MN. He grew up in Barnesville, MN and graduated from Moorhead High School. Gregory was drafted into the US Navy in 1968 and served in Vietnam. He was discharged in 1970 and from there he went on to attend St. Johns University in St. Joseph, MN where he earned a degree in boiler operations and power plant operations. He worked for the city of Moorhead for several years until moving to Napoleon, ND in 2007. He married Joyce Desjarlais on February 25, 1969.

Gregory enjoyed tinkering and fixing all kinds of this especially clocks. He also enjoyed hunting, watching his grandkids play sports and cruising around on his motorcycle.

Gregory is survived by his wife, Joyce Pechtel; children, Charmelle (Dan) Fuchs, Chad Pechtel and Chris Pechtel; grandchildren, Gage Fuchs, Kaylyn Reed, Trace Fuchs, Image Pechtel, Ezekel Pechtel, Patrick Pechtel, Kaydence Pechtel, Myah Fuchs and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother and sister, Patrick Pechtel and Sheila Pechtel.
