Gordon was born May 23, 1937 in Wishek to Jacob and Christina (Schlepp) Walth. He grew up on the Walth family farm south of Wishek and graduated from Wishek High School. He served in the National Guard from 1955-1961. He married Darlene Job on November 13,1960, at Peace Lutheran Church in Napoleon. They lived on the Walth family farm for 11 months until they purchased a farm north of Wishek, where they have resided for the last 61 years. Gordy farmed and ranched his entire life. He never really retired but cut back in 2015 and was still involved in many aspects of the farming operation. Gordy had a humble, caring, warm generous nature. He was a member of St. Luke Lutheran Church, where he served on the church council in the past. He enjoyed hunting, horseback riding, watching football, spending time with family and friends, and most of all farming and ranching.
Gordon is survived by his wife, Darlene, Wishek; children, Jeff (Angie) Walth, Dilworth, MN; Debbie (Kurt) Bachmeier, Bismarck and Joyce Walth, Hudson, WI; granddaughter, Shaylee Bachmeier, Bismarck; great-grandson, Kingston Bachmeier, Bismarck; brother-in-law, Leroy Job, Bismarck; and numerous nieces and nephews.
