The funeral for Gorden Werth will be Friday, June 12, 2020 at 10:30 AM at the Prairie Bible Camp, Lehr, ND. Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 11, 2020 from 5-8 PM at the Prairie Bible Camp, Lehr, ND. Burial will be held at the Lehr Cemetery.

Gorden Roger Werth was born September 1, 1931 south of Lehr, ND to William and Marie (Kranzler) Werth. He grew up on a farm and attended country school. He graduated from Sheyenne River Academy, Harvey, ND in 1949. He met his bride, Durnetta Dickhaut in 1953 while working at the hospital in Bismarck and they were married on June 10, 1954.

Gorden's occupations included teaching country school, mechanic, construction, facility maintenance, agriculture work and lawn mowing. One of his most memorable and talked about occupations was corn chopping. He retired from Killeen Texas in 1997 and moved back to Lehr, ND

Above all things his greatest love was for his family. He and Durnetta celebrated their 65 ^th wedding anniversary on June 10, 2019. He had strong faith in the Lord and was active in the Seventh Day Adventist Church all his life.

Gorden passed away June 7, 2020 at the Wishek Hospital with his family by his side. He was 88 years old.

Gorden is survived by his wife, Durnetta, Lehr, ND; children, Randal (Candee), Lidgerwood, ND, Bill (Renee), Long Lane, MO, Delray (Patty), Seward, NE and Brenda Stell, Groom, TX; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and many adopted grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Harold.
