The funeral for Gertrude Hehr, Kulm, ND will be Thursday, December 20, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Zion Lutheran Church at Kulm, ND. Visitation will be Wednesday from 1:00 to 7:00 PM at Dahlstrom Funeral Home, Kulm, ND. Burial will be at Hillside Lutheran Cemetery, Kulm, ND.


Gertrude R. Heller was born April 13, 1919 in Fredonia, ND, the daughter of David and Sophia (Engel) Heller. She received her elementary education in Fredonia, ND. Gertrude married Herbert Hehr on October 10, 1940 at the Martin Luther Lutheran Church at Fredonia. They made their home on the family farm north of Fredonia until they retired in 1977 and moved to Kulm, ND. Gertrude was a member of Zion Lutheran Church at Kulm. Gertrude enjoyed her family, crocheting delicate doilies and gardening. Herbert died October 20, 1992. Gertrude entered the Wishek Living Center in 2011.

Gertrude died Saturday, December 15, 2012 at the Wishek Living Center, Wishek, ND. She was 93 years old.

Gertrude is survived by two sons, Ronald Hehr, Canon City, CO and Wallace Hehr, Jamestown, ND; two daughters, Janice (Lemore) Krueger, Clovis, CA and Myra (Gerald) Rasch, Lantana, TX; one grandson, Brian (Michelle) Hehr, Farmington, MN; one great-grandson, Jonathan Hehr; two great-granddaughters, Jasmine Mills and Julianna Hehr; one great-great granddaughter, Kierstin Mills; one sister Violet (Melvin) Hilscher, Lodi, CA.
