Jerry was born on December 4, 1941, in Burnstad, ND to Arnold Sr. and Leona (Becker) Regner. Jerry's presence in life was as deep as his voice and as large as his unyielding stature. He was more than a farmer. He was a mechanic, an engineer, an antique collector, a hunter, a fisherman, and a teacher. His hands, much like his heart, remained soft despite a lifetime of manual labor. Jerry would take anything apart just to appreciate how it was put together. He could build you a house while teaching you how to fix a car and include endless history lessons in between.
Though, above all, Jerry was a storyteller. The man was a breadth of knowledge and full of life experience that he always wanted to share with the world. Though, he always left room for questions, asking others about their life stories. Jerry's stories are known throughout generations and will continue to be passed on far longer than he ever could have imagined.
Gerald leaves behind a legacy with his wife, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He married his wife, Alice Becker, 62 years ago in Burnstad on May 18th, 1964. Jerry had endless pride in his children, Randall Regner, Rhonda (Lyle) Humann, Richard (Maria) Regner, and Renae (Mark) Moszer. He was adored by his four granddaughters, Allison (David) Lambert, Brittany (Christopher) Christians and their daughter Alaina, Brianna (Justin) Six and their daughters Melanie and Rikki, and Megan (Bryce) Fettig and their children Layla and Luca. He is also survived by his brothers, Dale (Susan) Regner, Victor (Helen) Regner and Tom (Linda) Regner; sister, Mary Jane Lemnus; and brother-in-law, Alex Bitz.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Arnold Jr. (Shirley) Regner; sisters, Joan Bitz and infant sister Susan Marie Regner; and brother-in-law, Don Lemnus.
