The funeral for Genevieve A. Zinter will be Saturday, May 14, 2016 at 11:00 AM at the Baptist Church at Kulm, ND. Burial will be at the Sunset Memorial Garden Cemetery, Aberdeen, SD.

On September 29, 1928, Fredrick and Alice (Hedlund) Flegel welcomed their third daughter Genevieve Adell into their family and on May 10, 2016 they along with her husband, Irwin R. Zinter welcomed her into heaven.

Genevieve attended Swede School #1 for the first eight years of her education. She graduated from Kulm High School in 1946. She attained her Bachelor of Science Degree from Ellendale NI. She began teaching in the fall of 1946 and was an elementary educator in North Dakota and Minnesota for 44 years. Genevieve married Irwin R. Zinter on August 7, 1950. Irwin also was an elementary educator. They traveled each summer and she still managed to have awesome flower gardens as well as bountiful vegetable gardens. Genevieve enjoyed painting pictures, sewing, embroidery, doing puzzles and visiting. She was a great cook and baker. Irwin passed away December 12, 1996. Genevieve moved to Kulm in 1999 and was a member of the Kulm Baptist Church and Women's Ministries.

Genevieve died Tuesday May 10, 2016 at St. Luke's Home at Dickinson, ND. She was 87 years old.

Genevieve is survived by three sisters, Irene Feil, Mandan, ND; Wanda Gebhardt, Monango, ND and Claire Marie Bjur (Lyle) Kulm, ND; one brother, Mayo (Janet) Flegel, Mankato, MN; ten nieces and nephews and their families. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, father and mother-in-law William and Lydia Zinter, two brothers-in-law, Henry Gebhardt and Clifford Feil, one sister-in-law, Barbara Flegel.
