Genevieve "Jenny" Lacher, 82, of Wishek, ND, died December 5, 2024. Mass of Christan Burial will be held Friday, December 13, 2024 at 10:30 AM at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Wishek. Visitation will be held Thursday, December 12, 2024 from 5:00 – 7:00 PM with a prayer service at 7:00 Pm at Feist Funeral Home, Wishek. Burial will take place at St. Patrick's Catholic Cemetery.

Genevieve "Jenny" Lacher daughter of George and Clara (Blondo) Lacher was born January 3, 1942 at Zeeland, ND. Jenny grew up in Zeeland and graduated from Zeeland High School in 1960. She attended Christy Beauty School and graduated in 1961. In October of 1961, Jenny went to work for Modern Beauty Shop in Wishek for Lydia Just, where she worked for 12 years. In October of 1973 Jenny opened Jenny's Beauty Salon in Wishek.

Jenny enjoyed playing cards with her friends. She loved to knit, read and most of all she enjoyed cooking and baking. Jenny was the go-to person for her nieces and nephews when it came to family information.  She also remembered birthdays and important days for her family. Jenny's faith was very important to her.

She was a member of the Wishek Commerce Board and served on the Wishek Senior Citizens Board. She was also a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church and the St. Patrick's Altar Society.

Jenny is survived by numerous nieces, nephews and grand nieces and nephews

She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Clara, brothers, Lawrence, Leo (Joan) and George Lacher in infancy, sisters Gertrude Clodfelter, Kathryn (Ervin) Selzler, Phyllis Bosworth and Loretta (Ray) Boggs.

In lieu of flowers memorial can be given to the Wishek Senior Citizens Center or St. Patrick's Catholic Church.
