Obituary

The funeral for Gedion Entzi, Lehr, ND will be Saturday, January 30, 2016 at Zion United Methodist Church in Lehr, ND at 1:00 PM. Visitation will be Friday, January 29, 2016 from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM with a prayer service at 7:00 PM at Dahlstrom Funeral Home in Wishek, ND. Burial will be at the Lehr City Cemetery, Lehr, ND.
Gedion Entzi, son of John and Maggie (Presler) Entzi was born July 3, 1927. He was baptized in the Fredonia Congregational Church. Gedion attended country school and worked on the family farm. He and his brother farmed together until 1956. Gedion married Mildred Hoffman April 11, 1956. They farmed on the Dan Lautt farm and lived there for 59 years. Gedion attended the Lehr Ebenezer Church until it closed. He attended the Zion United Methodist Church at Lehr and watched Pastor Salem on Aberdeen TV.  He was a good husband, father and grandfather. He liked to watch The Price is Right on TV and listening to old time music.
Gedion died Thursday, January 21, 2016 at his home. He was 88 years old.
Gedion is survived by his wife of 59 years Mildred, Lehr, ND; his children, Elvirta (David) Linafelter, Tuscan, AZ; Rita (Bobby) Stowe, York, SC and Douglas Entzi, Fredonia, ND; three grandchildren, Kayla (Sha) Queen, Jamie (Wesley) Evans and Jody Stowe; two great-grandchildren, Aubrey Queen and Kori Stowe; four brothers, Alvin (Delores) Entzie, Fredonia, ND; John (Joyce) Entzi, Lehr, ND; Leo (Delight) Entzi, Ft. Collins, CO and Arnold Entzi, Waverly, IA; two sisters, Viola (Albert) Lux, Ashley, ND and Lulabelle Seefried, Jamestown, ND; one brother in-law, John Wolf, Jamestown, ND and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Maggie Entzi, three brothers and sisters-in-law, Andy and Phyllis, Eugene and Debbie and Rueben, one sister, Rose Wolf and his in-laws, John and Claudina Hoffman.
