The funeral for Gary Schuchard Fargo, ND formerly of Wishek, ND will be Thursday, March 9, 2017 at 1:00 pm St. Luke Lutheran Church at Wishek, ND. Visitation will be Wednesday from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm with a prayer service at 8:00 pm at Dahlstrom Funeral Home. Burial will be at the Wishek City Cemetery, Wishek, ND.

Gary Schuchard son of Lester and Frieda (Schauer) Schuchard was born June 13, 1947 at Napoleon, ND. He was baptized July 21, 1947 at Trinity Lutheran Church at Napoleon, ND. The family moved to Wishek in 1952 where Gary attended school. Gary was confirmed April 5, 1962 at St. Luke Lutheran Church. Gary was united in marriage to Paulette George April 17, 1965 at St. Luke Lutheran Church, Wishek, ND. He joined the National Guard and was stationed in Fort Dix in New Jersey for six months. He returned back to Wishek and worked with his father-in-law Walter George. In 1967 they moved to Fargo where he worked for Minnkota Manufacturing as a foreman and later worked for Cargill in West Fargo, ND. He worked there until he was disabled in 1999.

Gary died Saturday, March 4, 2017 at Vibra Hospital of Fargo, ND. He was 69 years old.

Gary is survived by his wife, Paulette, Fargo, ND; one son, Brian (Dottie) Fargo, ND and one daughter, Shelly Kadrmas, Gladstone, ND; four grandchildren, Amber Schuchard, Tyler Schuchard, Justin Janke and Jade Janke; two great grandchildren, Karmen and Cullen; five sisters, Fern (Mike) Martell, Wishek, ND; Blanche (Stanley) Deile, Wishek, ND, Colleen Jones, Wishek, ND; June (Jerry) Burlack, Wishek, ND and Joyce (Wayne) Janke, Wishek, ND. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lester and Frieda, one sister, Genevieve, father and mother-in-law, Walter and Inez George; one nephew, Ricky Raile; two, brothers-in-law, Ray Raile and John Jones.
