Obituary

Francis "Frank" Werlinger, 74, of Zeeland, ND, passed away July 28, 2025. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am, Saturday, August 2, 2025, at St. Andrew's Catholic Church, Zeeland. Visitation will be held Friday, August 1, 2025, from 6:00 - 7:00 pm with a rosary/vigil service at 7:00 pm at St. Andrew's Catholic Church. Burial will take place at St. John's Catholic Cemetery, Zeeland.

Frank was born April 11, 1951, in Linton, ND to Ted and Leona (Senger) Werlinger. He grew up on the family farm northwest of Zeeland and attended country school in the area, until the fourth grade. He went on to attend Zeeland Public School and graduated from Zeeland High School. Following high school Frank took over the Werlinger family farm, where he farmed and ranched until his passing. He married Shelia Feist on October 6, 1979, at St. Anne's Catholic Church, Bismarck. Together they raised their family and worked side by side on the farm for the past 45 years.

Throughout the years Frank enjoyed fishing whenever he could get a chance, tending to his horses, running equipment and raising cattle. He was also willing to lend a helping hand whenever asked.

He was a past member of the of the Zeeland Lions Club and a current member St. Andrew's Catholic Church.

Frank is survived by his wife of 45 years Shelia, Zeeland; one son, Steve (McKenzie) Werlinger, Zeeland; two grandchildren Bennett and Carter Werlinger; one sister, Betty Weigand, Bismarck; three brothers, Jerome (Helen) Werlinger, Bismarck, Bob (Helen) Werlinger, Bismarck and Jerry (Shirley) Werlinger, Foley, MN; mother-in-law, Margaret Feist, Aberdeen, SD; brothers-in-law, Leonard (Denise) Feist, New Castle, WY and Kenny Feist, Sioux Falls, SD; sisters-in-law, Janet (Bruce) Fuhrmann, Roscoe, SD and Debbie Feist, Bismarck; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ted and Leona Werlinger; father-in-law, Edward Feist; brother, Richard Werlinger; and brothers-in-law, Dan Weigand and Donald Feist.
