Floy Ann Kosel daughter of Andrew and Pearl (Peterson) Kosel was born December 26, 1930 at Ellendale, BD. She grew up and attended Ellendale School and graduated from Ellendale High School. Floy then attended Ellendale Normal School and received her Bachelor's Degree from Dickinson State College, Dickinson, ND. She taught country school north of Ellendale, ND. Floy married Arnold R. Wetzel and they moved to the farm southwest of Wishek, ND. She taught school in Streeter, ND until 1967 when they moved to Elgin, ND where she taught school. They moved to a farmed at Lehr, ND, she taught school at Streeter and at Dickey Central in Monango, ND before retiring in 1992. Arnold died in 1992. Floy was a member the United Methodist Church in Wishek, ND and also a member of the book discussion group in Wishek.

Floy died Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at the Wishek Community Hospital, Wishek, ND. She was 85 years old.

Floy is survived by 3 sons, Steve Wetzel, Wishek, ND; Harlyn Andrew (Patricia) Wetzel, Bismarck, ND; Dr. Mark (Darla) Wetzel, Grand Junction, Co; 11 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
