Florian Jochim's Obituary
The funeral for Florian Jochim will be Friday, February 15, 2013 at 11:00 AM at St. Luke Lutheran Church, Wishek, ND. Visitation will be Thursday from 1:00 PM to 7:30 PM with a prayer service at 7:30 PM at Dahlstrom Funeral Home, Wishek, ND. Burial will be at St. Patrick's Catholic Cemetery, Wishek, ND.
Florian was born on October 8, 1949 to Jack and Hermina (Heidrich) Jochim of Strasburg, ND. Florian was united in marriage to Elaine Mosset of Linton, ND on August 10, 1968. Florian started Jochim's Repair in 1990 driving back and forth from Linton to Wishek. In 1991 the family relocated to Wishek. Florian was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church of Wishek. He enjoyed Demolition Derbies, helping his sons Greg and Chad on their Derby Cars and Race Cars. He also enjoyed throwing darts, playing pinochle cards with his family and friends. Florian enjoyed being outdoors and doing many home improvement projects as well as doing mechanic work.
Florian passed away peacefully Saturday, February 9, 2013 under the care of Prairieview Hospice after a long courageous battle with cancer. He was 63 years old.
Florian is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Elaine, Wishek, ND; his son, Chad Jochim, Wishek, ND; three daughters, Kellie Jochim (fiance' Brian Larson), Garfield, MN; Tammy (Clarence) Baumgartner, West Fargo, ND; Lisa (Barry) Mueller, Wishek, ND; 14 grandchildren, Tyler Volk, Annette and Dustin Jochim, Andrew, Courtney, David, Mark and Emily Jochim, Luke Piatz, Camie Jo and Carson Mueller all of Wishek, ND, Savanna, April and Jesse Baumgartner of West Fargo, ND, his mother, Hermina Jochim, Wishek , ND, mother and father-in-law, Herman and Lorraine Mosset, Linton, ND; five brothers, seven sisters and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his son Greg, father, Jack Jochim, two brothers, David and Daniel Jochim, two sisters, LaVern Braun and Mary (who died in infancy).
