Eugene Aman, 89, of Wishek, passed away Sunday, July 5, 2020 at CHI St. Alexius Hospital, Bismarck, ND. Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 10, 2020 at 10:30 AM at the Prairie Bible Camp Tabernacle, Lehr, ND. Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 9, 2020 from 5-7 PM with a prayer service at 7:00 PM at Dahlstrom Funeral Home, Wishek, ND. Burial will be in the Lehr Cemetery.
Eugene Carroll Aman son of Gottlieb F. and Mary (Lehr) Aman was born May 29 th 1931 at Lehr, ND. He attended Lehr School, graduating from Lehr High School in 1950. He continued to farm with his dad. On June 15 th 1952 he married Connie Schweigert at Lehr. They continued to farm with Eugene's father. When the Lehr School District reorganized he started to drive school bus, which he did for 28 years. Eugene farmed for 50 years until retiring in Wishek in 2003.
During retirement Eugene and Connie enjoyed taking several trips and recently celebrated their 68 th wedding anniversary. Eugene enjoyed ice fishing, watching high school basketball and checking the crops and feeder cattle.
He was a member of the local school board and a member on the city council for some years. He was also a member of the Lehr Wildlife Club.
Eugene is survived by wife of 68 years, Connie Aman, Wishek; children, Gary (Julie) Aman, Bismarck, Dale Aman, Bismarck and Kathy (Dale) Willer, Shawnee, KS; grandchildren, Brandon (Becky) Aman, Ham Lake, MN, Rebecca Aman (Josh Borstad), Bismarck, Robby Willer, Dallas, TX and Melissa Willer, Shawnee, KS; great-grandchildren, Marin and Kaden Aman, Ham Lake, MN; step grandchildren, Matthew and Jordan Schaefer; 4 step great-grandchildren; and one sister, Vivian Fiechtner, Mesa, AZ.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Laura Lepp, Gladys Vogel, Myrtle Arduser, Norma Meier and Luella Heeren and brothers Harry, Ray and Clinton.
