The memorial service for Estella Verna Rudolf, Wishek, North Dakota will be held Saturday, March 26, 2016 at St. Luke Lutheran Church at 10:30 am at Wishek, ND. Burial will be at St. John Lutheran Cemetery.

Estella Verna Krein daughter of Ferdinand and Magdelena (Vossler) Krein was born September 11, 1924 in McIntosh County, near Wishek ND. Estella was raised on a farm Southwest of Wishek, ND where she attended rural school and graduating from Wishek High School in 1943 and went on to attend College at Ellendale, ND. She received a teaching certificate and taught school in a single room county school in the Wishek, ND area. For six years. During World War II she went to San Diego, California. Estella married Paul Rudolf of Wishek, ND on December 28, 1945 at San Diego, CA. After the war Estella and Paul lived on the farm and worked the land southwest of Wishek, ND until 1954. From that time Estella lived in Wishek, ND. Estella and Paul raised their four children while she worked at various jobs, including positions at Herr Mercantile, Wishek Drug Store and Montana Dakota Utilities. Estella was active in the St. Luke Lutheran Church, American Legion, American Legion Auxiliary and the Eagles Club. Estella also frequented elementary and high school events watching her children, friends and other relatives participate in choir, band, theater and sports. In her later years she spent time out at Green Lake with friends and family.

Estella died Thursday, March 10, 2016 at the Wishek Community Hospital, Wishek, ND. She was 91 years old.

Estella is survived by her husband, Paul, Wishek, ND; three sons, Gregory (Debra) Rudolf, Bismarck, ND; Jan (Julie) Rudolf, Fergus Falls, MN and Scott (Diann) Rudolf, Larimore, ND; one daughter, Sheila (Peter) Dewey West Fargo, ND; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; one brother, Robert (Germaine) Krein, Surprise, AZ; one sister, Violet Ruff, Bismarck, ND.
