The funeral for Emma Rau, Napoleon, ND will be Friday, March 29, 2013 at 2:00 PM at the Salem United Methodist Church at Napoleon, ND. Visitation will be held Thursday from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Dahlstrom Funeral Home, Napoleon, ND. Burial will be at the Napoleon City Cemetery, Napoleon, ND in the spring.


Emma Franz, daughter of John and Pauline (Graf) Franz was born October 10, 1916 at Napoleon, ND where she grew up and attended school. Emma married Milton Rau July 11, 1937 at Napoleon, ND. They made their home northeast of Napoleon where they farmed. Emma was very active on the farm helping Milton with all the farm responsibilities. Milton died July of 1975 and Emma continued to live on the farmstead until 1980, when she moved into Napoleon. After she moved to town she enjoyed coming out to the farm checking the crops. Emma was a member of the Salem United Methodist Church, women's group, church boards and also taught Sunday school. She enjoyed bowling and playing cards.

Emma died Monday, March 25, 2013 at the Wishek Community Hospital, Wishek, ND. She was 96 years old.
