The funeral for Emma Heidinger, Kulm, ND will be held Saturday, December 5, 2015 at Kulm Congregational Church, Kulm, ND at 1:30 PM. Visitation will be held one hour before the service at the church. Burial will be at the Kulm Congregational Cemetery, Kulm, ND.

Emma Elhard, daughter of John G. and Magdalena (Kuhn) Elhard was born December 20, 1922 at Jud, ND. She grew up and attended country school in the Jud, ND area. Emma was united in marriage to Hilbert Heidinger on September 30, 1944 at Jud, ND. They made their home eleven miles north of Kulm in Swede Township where they farmed. They retired in 1984 and moved into Kulm. Hilbert passed away May 30, 1997. Emma lived in Kulm until entering the Gackle Care Center in 2014. Emma was a member of the Kulm Congregational Church where she served as a Sunday school teacher and belonged to Ladies Aid. She was an avid quilter and also brightened many people's lives with tablecloths and towels. Emma was a fabulous cook and baker. She enjoyed going to California visiting her daughter and work on building projects with her son-in-law Jerry. Emma believed in motivating and nurturing children and blessed the lives of many young people in her family and community.

Emma died Saturday, November 28, 2015 at Eventide Care Center, Jamestown, ND. She was 93 years old.

Emma is survived by one daughter, Charlene (Jerry) Wolf, Hayward, CA; one sister, Esther (Charles) Ljungren, Sebeka, MN and two step-grandchildren, Sara and Kyle Wolf. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hilbert, three brothers, Rueben, Edwin and Wilbert; three sisters, Otelia, Ruth and Emelia.
