Emma Eiseman, 103, of Wishek, ND, passed away February 15, 2023, peacefully in her sleep at home. Funeral services will held Monday, February 20, 2023 at 10:30 AM at St. Luke Lutheran Church, Wishek.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Burial will be held at St. Luke Cemetery.

Emma Eiseman, daughter of John and Christine (Burkhart) Weisser was born June 23, 1919, at Burnstad, ND. She grew up on the family farm and attended farm school in the Burnstad area. Emma married Gideon Eiseman on December 20, 1946. Following their marriage, they lived on the Eiseman family farm, where they raised their three children and farmed until they retired and moved to Wishek in 1980.

On October 20, 1995, her husband Gideon passed away. Emma continued to live in her home until her passing, still cooking her own meals, baking and doing her laundry at age 103.She spent many years helping with grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was also proud of the fact that she was able to renew her driver's license at the age of 96.

Her family enjoyed many of her kuchens, blachenda and strudels, just to mention a few of her specialties. She also spent many hours sewing and playing her accordion.

Emma is survived by her children, Joan Walth, Betty Werth and James (Sharon) Eiseman, all of Wishek; 8 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and 3 great great-grandchildren.

Emma was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gideon; brothers, Jacob, August and John; sisters, Ottilia Mitzel, Martha Trautman and Pauline Kammerer; two sons-in-law, Jerold Walth and Ronald Werth; and one grandson, Jeffrey Walth.
