The funeral for Elnora Kramlich, Kulm, ND will be Tuesday, October 1, 2013 at 10:30 AM at the Assembly of God Church at Kulm, ND. Visitation will be Monday from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM with a prayer service at 7:00 PM at Dahlstrom Funeral Home of Kulm, ND. Burial will be at the Kulm Assembly of God Cemetery, Kulm, ND.


Elnora "Ella" Quashnick daughter of John and Emelia (Ruele) Quashnick was born October 29, 1932 at Werch, ND. She graduated from the 8th grade in Spring Valley Country School. Ella worked at home until she was 17 years old. She moved to Kulm and lived with her Grandma Ruele while she worked at the Clarence Grosz Café and the Jim Weatherly Café. Ella moved to Ashley to stay with her Grandma Quashnick when she worked at Bertsch's Grocery in Ashley. It was during that time she met her sweetheart, Wilbert, October 15, 1950. Ella married Wilbert Kramlich May 10, 1953 at Ashley, ND. They began their farming career in the Ashley area after their marriage. In 1962 they moved to their farm near Kulm and continued to farm there until their retirement in 2011. They continued to live there until her death. Over the years Ella worked side by side with Wilbert on the farm and also at Murphy's Rack and Snack Hut, L&J Super Valu and later Kulm Grocery. She enjoyed working with people, gardening, canning and cooking her special meals for her family's special occasions. She attended the Kulm Assembly of God Church and was a member of the ladies serving group.


Ella lost her battle with cancer on Wednesday, September 25, 2013 surrounded by her family at Avera St. Luke's Hospital at Aberdeen, SD. She was 80 years old.

Ella is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Wilbert, daughter, Genien (Scott) Gahner, two grandsons, Jason (Mindy) Gahner and Shawn Gahner, two great-grandchildren, Madison and Wyatt Gahner all of Kulm, ND; sisters, Darlene (Floyd) Schnabel, Ashley, ND; Betty Lou (Melvin) Nitschke, Van Couver, WA; Vangie (Roger) Kinzler, Kulm, ND; brothers –in-law, LeRoy (Joyce) Kramlich, Kulm, ND and Donald (Shirlain) Kramlich, Aberdeen, SD; sisters-in-law, Marion (LeRoy) Schweigert, Lehr, ND, Violet (Darrell) Buchholz, Lehr, ND and Elaine (Dwight) Johnson, Moorehead, MN; several nieces and nephews.
