The funeral for Elizabeth Schweitzer, Fargo, ND formally of Napoleon, ND will be Saturday, March 13, 2010 at 10:00 AM at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church at Napoleon, ND. Visitation will be Friday from to 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM with a prayer service at 7:00 PM at Dahlstrom Funeral Home, Napoleon, ND. Burial will be at St. Philip Neri Catholic Cemetery, Napoleon, ND.

Elizabeth Kuntz daughter of Peter and Agnatha (Schmaltz) Kuntz was born January 12, 1913 near Napoleon, ND in Logan County. She grew up on the family farm and attended rural school. Elizabeth married Carl Schweitzer on November 4, 1936 at St. Michaels Catholic Church. Elizabeth was a housewife and worked as a cook at the Napoleon school until her retirement. She was an active member of St. Philip Neri Catholic Church and the Christian Mothers Alter Society. She entered Bethany Homes of Fargo, ND December of 1998. Elizabeth enjoyed gardening, cooking and spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Elizabeth passed away peacefully at Bethany Homes of Fargo, ND with her family by her side. She was 97 years old.

Elizabeth is survived by one daughter, Betty Schwartz, West Fargo, ND; two sons, Andy (Gerri) Schweitzer, Hankinson, ND; Carl Schweitzer, Mesa, AZ; 9 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Carol Schweitzer, Dalbo, MN. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Schweitzer, one son, Thomas Schweitzer, son-in-law, Raymond Schwartz, daughter-in-law, Rose Schweitzer, granddaughter, Brenda Schweitzer, her parents, 5 brothers and 2 sisters.
