The funeral for Betty Goebel, Wishek, ND will be Tuesday, July 12, 2016 at Zion United Methodist Church in Lehr, ND at 10:30 AM. Visitation will be Monday, July 11, 2016 from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM with a prayer service at 7:00 PM at Dahlstrom Funeral Home, Wishek, ND. Burial will be at the Lehr, City Cemetery, Lehr, ND.

Elizabeth Katherine "Betty" daughter of Jake and Maggie (Zimmerman) Moser was born June 9, 1940 at Ashley, ND. She grew up and attended school in Ashley, ND. Betty married Darvin Goebel on December 9, 1956 at Lehr, ND. The two began their life and lived on a farm north of Lehr, where they raised their nine children. They moved into Wishek, ND in December of 1990. Betty enjoyed cross stitching, playing cards, playing Bingo and going to the casino.

Betty died Friday, July 8, 2016 at the Wishek Community Hospital, Wishek, ND. She was 76 years old.

Betty is survived by her husband, Darvin of 59 years, Wishek, ND; son Ronnie Goebel, Wishek, ND, daughter Brenda (Sherry) Goebel, Wishek, ND; son Larry (Cynthia) Goebel, Mandan, ND; son Kevin Goebel, South Carolina; daughter, Sandy (Joe) Bailey, Moorhead, MN; son Brian Goebel, Wishek, ND; son, Dwight (Sheila) Goebel, Wishek; son-in-law, Shawn Bruna, Wishek, ND; 19 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Esther Michaelson, Jamestown, ND, Mary Wick Plain, MT and numerous brothers and sisters –in-law. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, her grandparents, two daughters Valerie Diede and Twila Bruna, brother Ruben Moser, sister Margaret Scherbenske, granddaughter Jessica Goebel and grandson Mitchell Diede.
