Eldon Dallman, 91, of Lehr, ND, passed away April 22, 2023 at the Wishek Living Center. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 27, 2023 at 10:30 AM at St. Luke Lutheran Church, Wishek. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 26, 2023 from 5:00 – 7:00 PM at Dahlstrom Funeral Home, Wishek. Burial will be held at the Lehr Cemetery, Lehr.

Eldon was born May 24, 1931 to Christ and Martha (Kaldun) Dallman on a farm in Logan County, ND. He attended country school in the area until the eighth grade. He continued to work on his parents' farm until 1952 when he went to work for Schulz & Linzen Construction. In 1953 he worked for Bell Telephone Company. On June 13, 1954, Eldon married the love of his life, Agnes Janke. Together they settled on his parents' farm where they farmed and raised their children. They eventually took over the farm when Eldon's parents retired and moved to Jamestown, ND. In 1993 Eldon and Agnes retired and moved to Lehr, where he lived until moving to the Wishek Living Center in September of 2022.

While living in Lehr, Eldon would often help his son Glenn and his wife Dawn make noodle soup at the café on Sundays. He also enjoyed playing cards with his friends at the Water Hole in Lehr and in his later years he loved to play cards with two of his granddaughters, Josie and Lexie. Eldon and Agnes were lifelong members of Grace Lutheran Church in Lehr and after that closed, they became members at Zion Lutheran Church in Edgeley.

Eldon is survived by his wife of 68 years, Agnes; children, Glenn (Dawn) Dallman, Cordell (Mona) Dallman, Renae (Frank) Barnick, Kristy Glaesman, Harlan (Lori) Dallman and Marsha (Tom) Nitschke; 15 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Christ and Martha Dallman; sister, Bernice Schultz; and great-grandson, Colbie Fandrich.
