The funeral for Elda Erbele, Lehr, ND will be held Saturday, March 30, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Lehr United Methodist Church, Lehr, ND.  Visitation will be held Friday, March 29, 2019 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM with a prayer service at 7:00 PM at Dahlstrom Funeral Home, Wishek, ND.  Burial will be at Lehr Cemetery, Lehr, ND at a later date.

Elda was born April 26, 1930 on a farm near Streeter, ND to Frederick and Maria (Buck) Ketterling. She was raised on the family farm south of Streeter and attended Ketterling School #18 up until the 8th grade. She also attended Lehr High School.

Elda married Harry Nagel June 1948 and to this union they had one son James. She married Theodore "Teddy" Erbele on November 25, 1954 at Evangelical United Brethren Church in Hazen officiated by her brother Rev. Oliver Ketterling. To this union they had two children Jeff and Jack.

Elda lived on the Erbele family farm north of Lehr where she helped on the farm and raised three children. Teddy passed away on May 26, 1998. Elda continued to live on the farm until moving to the Gackle Care Center in 2008 and then to the Napoleon Care Center in June of 2018.

Elda enjoyed traveling with Teddy, going for walks, gardening, baking, her grandchildren and taking care of her chickens on the farm.

She was a member of the Lehr United Methodist Church, the Welcome Homemakers Club and the Lehr Methodist Ladies Chorus.

Elda died Friday, March 22, 2019 at Wishek Community Hospital, Wishek, ND. She was 88 years old.

Elda is survived by her sons, Jeff (Candee) Erbele, Denver, CO and Jack (Beth) Erbele, Lehr, ND, daughter-in-law, Blanche Nagel, Bismarck, ND ; grandchildren, Lisa (Jim)Schroeder, Brady (Cara) Nagel, Megan (Dan) Bevers, Scott Erbele, Andrew (Kristin) Erbele; great-grandchildren, Cassandra Schroeder, Cody Schroeder, Lauren Nagel, Paul Bevers; sister, El Vira (Lowell) Greuel, Fargo, ND; sister-in-law, Vangie Spitzer, Napoleon, ND ; sister-in-law, Ann Ketterling, Glendora, CA; sister-in-law, Belinda Ketterling, Lafayette, IN.

She was preceded in death by her husband Teddy, parents and one son James Nagel, 5 sisters and 6 brothers.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Lehr United Methodist Church or The Prairie Bible Camp, Lehr.
