The funeral for Elaine O. Blinsky, Wishek, North Dakota will be held Wednesday, April 29, 2015 at 1:00 PM at St. Luke Lutheran Church, Wishek, ND. Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 28, 2015 from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Dahlstrom Funeral Home with a prayer service at 7:00 PM. Burial will be at St. Luke Lutheran Cemetery, Wishek, ND.

Elaine Flanders, daughter of Henry & Fern (Hart) Flanders, was born May 7, 1932 at Heaton, ND. Elaine grew up and attended school at Pettibone, ND. She then attended Valley City State Teachers College where she received her teaching certificate. Elaine was united in marriage to LaVern R. Blinsky January 17, 1953 at Carrington, ND. They made their home in Wishek, ND where she taught school in the Wishek area for 30 years, retiring in 1989. Elaine was a active member of St. Luke Lutheran Church, serving as a Sunday school teacher for many years and involved with WELCA and quilting on Tuesdays. She was also a member of the Fred Kelly American Legion Auxiliary in Wishek, ND. She enjoyed playing cards, traveling, golfing, gardening, cooking and canning.

Elaine died Sunday, April 26, 2015 at CHI St. Alexius Health in Bismarck, ND. She was 82 years old.

Elaine is survived by one son, Terry (Barbara) Blinsky, Bismarck and three daughters, Margo Blinsky, Wishek, ND, Dawn (Glenn) Dallman, Lehr, ND, Jodi Nelson, Apple Valley, MN; three brothers, Gerald Flanders, CA, Merrill (Arlene) Flanders, Tuttle, ND, Marlow (Paula) Flanders, Pettibone, ND, and one sister, Phyllis Labor, Jamestown, ND; nine grandchildren, Preston and Tanner Blinsky, Kari Abt and Chad (Lisa) Kaseman, Felicia (Jeff) Sampson, Jeremy Dallman and Jessica (James) Fandrich, and Brandy and Cody Vetter; thirteen great-grandchildren, Victoria and Austin Abt, Alexis, Sophia and Kaylee Kaseman, David (Tori), Dustyn (fiancé Reynel Himmelspach), Destinee and Dawson Huber, Colbie, Riley and Lauren Fandrich, and Leah Vetter; two great great-grandchildren, Aiden Huber and Maebri Gramling.
