The funeral for Dennis C. Herrmann, Kulm, ND will be Thursday, September 13, 2012 at 11:00 AM at the First Congregational Church of Kulm, ND. Visitation will be Wednesday, September 12, 2012 from 1:00 PM to 7:30 PM with a prayer service at 7:30 PM at Dahlstrom Funeral Home of Kulm, ND. Burial will be at the New Beresina Cemetery, Kulm, ND.

Dennis son of Herman J. and Edna (Janke) Herrmann was born May 17, 1943 at Edgeley, ND. Dennis received his education at Kulm, ND where he graduated in 1962. He studied Diesel and Auto Mechanics at NDSCS at Wahpeton, ND. Dennis married Hazel Himmerich on October 24, 1969 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church at Kulm, ND. Dennis farmed with his father for many years and took over the farming operation when his father retired. In 1996 Dennis decided to no longer operate the family farm, but continued to work for area farmers. He worked as a welder for several years. Upon his semi-retirement he was employed by Bill Anderson helping clean feed lots which he continued to do until his death. Dennis was a member of the First Congregational Church in Kulm where he served faithfully as an usher for many years. He was a member of the Kulm Lions Club. His hobbies were working with antique tractors and spending time with his grandchildren.

Dennis died Saturday, September 8, 2012 at the Kindred Hospital, Fargo, ND. He was 69 years old.

Dennis is survived by his wife, Hazel, Kulm, ND; one son, David (Stacey) Herrmann, Kulm, ND; two daughters, Kari (Kevin) Moncrieff, Shaker Heights, OH and Christine (Brandon) Toay, Jamestown, ND; six grandchildren, McKenzie and Dawson Herrmann; Gillian and Genevieve Moncrieff; Cole and Jordyn Toay; two sisters, Delaine (Jim) Hildebrand, Pollock, SD and Debra (Jerry) Moen, LaMoure, ND.
