Delories Herman daughter of Rudolph and Olga (Brosz) Herman was born April 1, 1924 on the family farm near Kulm, ND. The Family lived at several farm locations until 1937 when they moved to Edgeley, ND where she grew up and attended school. Delories graduated from Edgeley High School in 1942. She then attended business college at Ellendale, ND. Delories first job as a secretary was in Ellendale where she was employed by Attorney T. L. Brouillard. Many of Delories's cousins were serving in the Armed Forces and soon she also wanted to be involved in the war effort. She then wrote the Civil Service Exam and in early 1945 she was in Washington, D. C. working in the war Department Liaison Office on Capitol Hill. When World War II was over Delories returned to civilian work and her next employment was as a secretary to officials of the Peru Mining Company in Silver City, New Mexico. In 1947 she returned to North Dakota to visit her family and while there she met Ernest Fey of Kulm, ND. They married three months later on January 25, 1948 and lived in Jamestown, ND for the next three years. Delories worked as secretary for both the President and the Secretary of the North Dakota Farmers Union, and Ernie worked for the National Food Company. In 1951 Delories and Ernie moved to Havre, MT and two years later they moved to Missoula, MT. This was a transfer for Ernie. For the next twenty years Delories worked for the Missoula Chamber of Commerce. She retired in 1972. Delories (known as De to many) was very interested in family history. She researched, wrote and published the history of her Mom's Brosz Family. She also spent many years researching and preparing her Herrmann / Herman family history as well as the history of Ernie's Fey and Siewert families. De and Ernie have been members of the First Presbyterian Church since moving to Missoula in 1953. De is a retired Deacon and Ernie a retired Elder. De and Ernie are proud God Parents to Linda Bjork Rye, Robert Hilscher, Dale Gackle, Karen De Herman and Monica Lea.
