Delores Zimmerman, 93, of Wishek, ND, died December 2, 2025, at Heritage Center, Jamestown, ND. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, December 8, 2025, at First Baptist Church, Wishek. Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 7, 2025, from 2:00 - 4:00 pm with a prayer service at 4:00 pm at Feist Funeral Home, Wishek. Burial will take place at the Lehr Cemetery. A livestream of Delores's funeral service will be available on the First Baptist Church, Wishek Facebook page.
Delores was born on May 1, 1932, to Anton and Lydia (Gall) Bader. She grew up and was raised on the family farm southwest of Wishek and was educated through the eighth grade at the farm school in the area.
Delores was united in marriage to Raymond Zimmerman on October 5, 1950. They settled on a farm near Lehr where Delores was a dedicated farm wife, working alongside her husband. She milked cows, raised chickens and ducks. She would have a large garden and canned and preserved her bounty to feed her family during the winter months. She was a mother who was always there for her children with love and dedication, helping anyway she could.
She was a lifelong member of the local homemakers club called "The National Homemaker". Her and Raymond would go fishing and camping and would be joined by friends and family. Delores was also a 4-H Leader. She sewed a lot of her family's clothing; she also quilted and crocheted and was an excellent cook. Her and Raymond were members of the Baptist Church in Lehr and Wishek.
Delores is survived by her four children, Wilbur (Wanda) Zimmerman, Lehr, Margie Thompson, Jamestown, Doreen Nielson, Gold Beach, OR and Randy (Tammy) Zimmerman, Bismarck; seven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; one brother Clifton Bader, Aberdeen, SD; two sisters, Eva Schwind, Fargo and Alma Werth, Fargo; and one sister-in-law, Maxine (Ron) Kosel, Ellendale.
Delores was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond, her parents, two sisters, one brother and two sons-in-law.
