The funeral for Della Ruff, Fredonia, ND, will be Friday, November 23, 2012 at 2:00 PM at the United Methodist Church at Lehr, ND. Visitation will be Wednesday from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM and Thursday from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM with a prayer service at 7:00 PM at Dahlstrom Funeral Home, Wishek, ND. Burial will be at the Lehr City Cemetery, Lehr, ND.
Della Kramlich, daughter of Adolph and Lydia (Sukut) Kramlich, was born October 18, 1936 near Wishek, ND. She grew up and attended country school and the Hope EUB Church in the Lehr area. Della married Floyd Ruff on September 12, 1954 at Lehr, ND. She became a member of the Zion United Methodist Church at Lehr. Della taught Sunday school, was a communion steward and was on the prayer chain. She was a member of the women's group, acting as treasurer for several years, and helped serve at many functions. They farmed and ranched northwest of Fredonia, ND. Della loved to pick rocks with the rock picker. She milked the cows by hand and did the butchering for the family. Della enjoyed gardening and canning the produce that she grew. She loved music, playing the piano and accordion. Della was a wonderful cook and baker. She also crocheted; she was a seamstress and quilter and made a quilt for each one of her children and grandchildren. Della was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and mother-in-law. She ran the best "Grandma Daycare".
Della died Monday, November 19, 2012 at her home under the care of Prairie View Hospice of Wishek, ND. She was 76 years old.
Della is survived by her husband, Floyd, Fredonia, ND; two daughters, Candy (Ron) Riffey, Bismarck, ND, and Sandy (Marlow) Werth, Lehr, ND; one son, Randy (Sarah) Ruff, Fredonia, ND; six grandchildren, Travis (Amanda) Riffey, Kurtis Riffey, Shelly (Ken) Konopa, Larissa, Serena, and Rachel Ruff; two great-granddaughters, Kalaya and Sierra Konopa; three sisters, Evangeline Mueller, Wishek, ND; Marlyn (Eugene) Roesler, Lehr, ND and Shirley Robertson, Rock Springs, WY.
