David Reinhardt, 79, formerly of Lehr, ND, passed away April 20, 2021 at Sheyenne Care Center, Valley City, ND. Graveside services will be held on Monday, May 3, 2021 at 11:00 AM at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan, ND.

David was born August 13, 1941 in Hawthorne CA to Grace Mildred James and Alfred Albert Reinhardt.  There were 5 children in the family.  They lived in Alaska for some time moving around the United States as his father was pipe Fitter.

David was married to Sandra, they had 2 children and he also had a vietnamese daughter.

After High School David joined the US Marine Corp and became a Corporal.  He served as a Field Radio Operator in Vietnam. He reenlisted and was sent to language school for a year.  David became a radio operator for the CIA Government.  He was injured with Shrapmetal and received a Purple Heart.  He also received a good conduct medal.  David enjoyed traveling around the United State.

David eventually made his home in Lehr, ND where he opened a Rescue Ranch for abused animals.  He especially loved miniature horses.

Do to declining health David moved to LaMoure for a couple years and then eventually moved to the Veterans Home in Lisbon, ND.
