Darrel Daniel Krueger, 65, Wishek died Saturday June 20, 2020 at his home. Funeral services will be held Thursday June 25 ^th , 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at Dahlstrom Funeral Home in Wishek.

Darrel was born September 18 ^th , 1954 in Gackle, ND to Herbert and Katie (Schock) Krueger. Darrel grew up on a farm between Lehr and Fredonia and attended Lehr Public School until he graduated in 1973. On August 12 ^th , 1977 Darrel married Sherry Summers in Jamestown, ND. To this union two children were born, Daniel in 1978 and Victoria in 1988. Darrel and Sherry later divorced and on October 6 ^th , 2006 Darrel married Kim Tucker.

Darrel enlisted in the North Dakota National Guard in 1973 where he served until 1982. Darrel later returned to the family farm where he worked for many years. Most recently Darrel worked for Schauer's Elevator until his retirement two years ago.

Darrel was such a jokester and anyone who knew him could tell many stories of his shenanigans. He was always able to put a smile on your face. He enjoyed spending time with and teasing his grandkids most of all. His passions in life were fishing, boating, and hunting. He could strike up a conversation with anybody and had a knack for making people laugh with his classic one-liners, quick wit, and lack of filter. He also enjoyed cooking and was famous for his cream chicken and dumplings. His work ethic was bar none. He would never hesitate to help anyone and he was known most of all for his heart of gold and generosity.

Darrel will be greatly missed by his children Dan (Jen) Krueger of Bismarck and Vicki Paulson of Bismarck. His grandchildren Noah, Sarah, and Hannah Krueger (Bismarck) and Miles Paulson (Bismarck). His wife Kim Tucker and step daughter Alyssa Lordy from Wishek. His ex-wife Sherry Summers (Bismarck) and his sister Linda (Reuben) Boschee from Bismarck. Along with many extended family and friends.

The family takes peace in knowing he is pain free and reunited with his parents Herbert and Katie Krueger.
