The funeral for Colbie Fandrich, Wishek, ND will be Monday, June 13, 2016 at 10:00 AM at the Wishek Civic Center, Wishek, ND. Visitation will be Sunday from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Dahlstrom Funeral Home, Wishek, ND and from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the Wishek Civic Center with a prayer service at 7:30 PM. Burial will be at St. Luke Lutheran Cemetery, Wishek, ND.

Colbie Ray Fandrich son of James and Jessica (Dallman) Fandrich was born November 1, 1995 at Bismarck, ND. Colbie grew up and attended school at Wishek Public School graduating in 2014. While in high school Colbie worked at Sayler Implement, Wishek Livestock Market, received his EMT Certificate and was a member of the FFA. He furthered his education at Bismarck State College in the Instrument and Control Department. He graduated from college in 2016. While at BSC Colbie led his team to a national win in the ISA competition. He had plans to further his education. Colbie did an internship for Basin Electric at the Lelend Olds Station. While in college he worked for the Aero Center in Bismarck where he received his pilot's license. Colbie currently lived in Wishek and worked at Central Iron and JB Ready Mix. Colbie enjoyed hunting, fishing, jet skiing and being with his family and friends, especially his brother and sister who he loved with all his heart.

The first thing you would notice about Colbie Fandrich was his beautiful uplifting smile that could turn anyones day around. He was a busy body, a quality he inherited from his father. Colbie always had to be doing something, whether it was hunting, fishing or even shopping. Yes, Colbie was quite the shopper; he liked to spend the money he worked so hard for. A quality most likely inherited from his mother. Colbie was not a settler in life, everything he did he gave 110%, failing was not an option. Colbie was always a big dreamer, and he was going to make those dreams come true. With all of his amazing accomplishments, Colbie continued to be so humble and kind. Colbie was and always will be the definition of humble and kind. In fact, if you look up the words humble and kind, you would find Colbie's name behind them. He took pride in knowing how much he was loved by everyone and he returned that love to everyone he knew. Colbie will always be on our minds and in our hearts. We must go on trying to be better people. Everyone should strive to be like Colbie. He was a one of a kind man; we all can say we were the lucky ones who had the privilege to know him. As it is very clear how Colbie's selfless way of living touched so many people, we ask that in honor of him, we go on and live the way he did. Be kind to everyone you meet, as Colbie did, help people in need without question, as Colbie did, and just picture his beautiful smile that it would bring to his face.

Colbie died June 9, 2016 in a small plane crash at Wishek, ND with his aunt, Christine Fandrich and his cousin, Aaron Nordstrom. He was 20 years old.

Colbie is survived by his parents James and Jessica Fandrich, Wishek, ND; one brother Riley and one sister Lauren, Wishek, ND; grandparents, Pam Jackson, White Sulpher Springs, MT; Glenn and Dawn Dallman, Lehr, ND; great-grandparents, Lorraine Rohweder and Jim Amberg, Wishek, ND; Eldon and Agnes Dallman, Lehr, ND; special friend Morgan Holzer and Colbie's biggest fan Aiden Huber. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers Darwin Fandrich and Ron Jackson and great-grandparents LaVern and Elaine Blinsky and Cousin Kaitlyn Sereday.
