The funeral for Clinton Hochhalter, Wishek, ND will be Tuesday, February, 8, 2011 at 1:00 PM at the United Church of Christ Church at Wishek, ND. Visitation will be Monday from 3:00 PM to 6:30 PM with a prayer service at 6:30 PM at Dahlstrom Funeral Home of Wishek, ND. Burial will be at the Wishek City Cemetery, Wishek, ND.


Clinton Hochhalter, son of Leopold and Martha (Siffermon) Hochhalter was born August 8, 1932 at Wishek, ND. He grew up and attended school in the Wishek area. Clinton married Erna Thurn September 23, 1954 at Wishek, ND. The couple then purchased a farm south of Lehr, ND where they began farming. In 1968, they moved to a farm west of Lehr where they continued to farm until their retirement in November of 1999 when they moved to Wishek.
Clinton was a member of the United Church of Christ at Wishek, ND. He enjoyed playing cards, fishing, hunting and gardening. Clinton also collected scrap metal.

Clinton died Friday, February 4, 2011 at the Wishek Home for the Aged, Wishek, ND. He was 78 years old.

Clinton is survived by three daughters, Marie Dewald, Lehr, ND; Patty (Greg) Freitag, Wolverton, MN; Nancy Holloway, Westland, MI; two brothers, Lester (Lorraine) Hochhalter, Mott, ND; Marvin (Irene) Hochhalter, Steele, ND; two sisters, Wilma (Alvin) Kracke, Fargo, ND; Diane (Marvin) Goebel, TX; one sister-in-law, Phyllis Hochhalter, Wishek, ND; six grandchildren, Brad, Alisha, Melissa, Derrick, Jennifer and Casandra; two great-grandchildren, Razziel and Brady.
