Charlotte "Cheri" Glatt, 82 of Napoleon, ND, passed away August 13, 2026, in Bismarck under the care of hospice. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am on Tuesday, August 18, 2026, at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, Napoleon. Burial will take place at St. Philip Neri Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday morning at the church starting at 9:00 am with a Rosary to follow at 10:00 am.
Charlotte (Cheri) Glatt was born March 31, 1944, to Charles and Eleanor (Semerad) Kudrna in Dickinson, ND. She grew up south of South Heart, ND and graduated from South Heart High School. Cheri was salutatorian of the class of 1962. After graduation, she moved to Bismarck, ND and attended Capital Commercial College. Her first job was with ND Dept. of Transportation-Drivers License Division. In 1964 she attended McConnells Airline School in Minneapolis. After graduation she began working for Northwest Airlines as a reservationist in Detroit, Michigan. Here she met Jim Glatt, whom she married on July 9, 1966, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in South Heart, ND. They began married life living on the Glatt family farm south of Napoleon, ND with his parents. In October of 1966, Cheri began working for KEM Electric Coop in Linton, ND. In 1969 they moved to Columbus Fall, MT, where Cheri worked at Far West Gas & Oil as a bookkeeper. In 1971 they returned to the family farm in Napoleon. They purchased the Lakeside Tavern in Burnstad, ND. In 1973 Cheri’s brother Rodney took over running the bar.
They purchased the farm in 1975 to become the 3rd generation on the farm. For the next few years, she helped with the farming. In 1984 she again joined the work force and began working at First Community Credit Union in Napoleon as a teller, retiring as Branch Manager in 2010.
She enjoyed visiting, playing cards & bingo, quilting and gardening. She had great compassion and love for her animals. Cheri was president of Napoleon Business Association, treasurer of Napoleon’s 125th Quasquicentennial committee and active in her church.
Cheri is survived by her sister, LaVerne (Leonard) Kordonowy; brothers, Quain (Lorraine) Kudrna and Rodney (Judy) Kudrna and a large extended family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim on Dec. 27, 2025; and her parents, Charles and Eleanor Kudrna.
