The funeral for Benjamin Ebel, Wishek, ND will be Wednesday, May 22, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Dahlstrom Funeral Home, Wishek, ND. Visitation will be Tuesday from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Funeral Home. Burial will be at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan, ND.


Benjamin, son of William P. and Pauline (Mack) Ebel was born February 20, 1926 5 miles northeast of Wishek, ND. He attended country school NE of Wishek. He farmed with his dad and helped other farmers. Benjamin entered the US Army and was stationed in Fairbanks, Alaska. After the service, Benjamin returned to the Wishek area and lived one mile east of Wishek. He did custom farming and fencing. He was a member of the American Legion for over 50 years.

Benjamin died Saturday, May 18, 2013 at the Wishek Living center, Wishek, ND. He was 87 years.

Benjamin is survived by his wife, Lorene, Wishek, ND; two sons, Kenny Meidinger, New Salem, ND and Terris (Brenda) Meidinger, Bismarck, ND; two daughters, Doris (David) Pickard, East Wenatchee, WA and Julie (Tony) Gartz, Bismarck, ND; ten grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one brother, David (Vivian) Ebel, Bismarck, ND and one sister, Thelma Narum, Minot, ND.
