Private graveside services were held for Ben Ulmer, 95, Wishek, ND at the Wishek City Cemetery.

Ben Ulmer was born July 1, 1922 near Wishek, ND to Bill and Martha (Knoll) Ulmer. He attended Moscow country school. Ben married Emma Schock on November 27, 1952. They farmed 7 miles south of Wishek for 42 years. They moved to Wishek in 1990. Ben was a member of the First Baptist Church at Wishek. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and talking farm news.

Ben died Sunday, August 6, 2017 at the Wishek Community Hospital, Wishek, ND. He was 95 years old.

Ben is survived by his wife, Emma of 64 1/2years; brother, George (Jean) Ulmer, Wishek, ND; sisters, Irene Thurn, Wishek, ND and Frieda (Bud) Billington, Sun City, AZ; sisters-in-law, Caroline Ulmer and Darlene Ulmer, both of Wishek, ND, Violet Ulmer (Federal Way) WA; Vivian Ulmer, Surprise, AZ and Darlene Rott, West Fargo, ND. Ben was preceded in death by his parents, his sisters, Clara and Ruth and brothers, Clarence, Emil, John, Wilbert, Norman and Oscar.
