Arthur Werth, 97, of Wishek, ND, passed away April 11, 2022 at the Wishek Living Center. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 19, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Lehr Seventh-Day Adventist Church, Lehr, ND. Visitation will be held Monday, April 18, 2022 from 5-7 PM with a prayer service at 7:00 PM at Dahlstrom Funeral Home, Wishek. Burial will be held at the Lehr Cemetery. Art was born July 24, 1924 in Lehr, ND to William Sr. and Magdalena (Hoffman) Werth. He was baptized July 5, 1940. Art received his education up to the eighth grade in a one room school house a half mile from his home. He married Ruby Miller on November 24, 1943 in Lehr. To this union they had two child, Shirley and Ricky. They made their home on the Werth family farm five and a half miles southwest of Lehr. Together they farmed for 57 years and then moved into Lehr. While on the farm they took numerous trips and one special trip was to Puerto Rico. Art and Ruby moved to an apartment in Wishek in 2011 and in 2015 moved into the Wishek Living Center. Ruby passed away in 2018.

Art was very active in his church where he held many positions. He enjoyed playing the harmonica and in his younger years snowmobiling.

Art is survived by his children, Shirley Binger, Aberdeen, SD and Rick (Linda) Werth, Hayden, ID; grandchildren Kirby (Kari) Kiesz, Lindsey (Jason) Pastana and Ashley Werth; great-grandchildren, Rebecca Kiesz and Brittany Kiesz.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Ruby; three sisters, Emelia, Barbara and Rosa; seven brothers, William Jr., Ben, Sam, Julius, Adam, Leonard and Richard; and two infant sisters, Rosa and Martha.
