The funeral for Arley I. Anderson, Kulm, ND will be held Monday, August 13, 2018 at the Kulm Assembly of God Church in Kulm, ND at 11:00 AM.  Visitation will be held Sunday from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM with a Celebration of Live Service at 6:00 PM at the Kulm Assembly of God Church, Kulm, ND.

Our loving father, grandfather, brother and friend, Arley I. Anderson, 87, of Kulm, North Dakota, returned to his Father in heaven on Thursday, August 9, 2018, surrounded by his loving family.

Arley was born December 9, 1930, on the family homestead northwest of Kulm to Gust and Helga Anderson. He farmed alongside his father for many years then purchased his own farm nine miles north of Kulm in 1965, where he raised his family and created many memories.

Arley loved his community and devoted his life to his church: serving as a Deacon, usher, Sunday school teacher, and Royal Rangers leader.  He cultivated a gathering place for celebrations and many social events at his farm as well as at Roy's Park where he was both a founder and a premier softball pitcher. He loved playing and coaching basketball and fast and slow pitch softball. He coached the Kulm women's softball team for many years and played on softball teams until he was 65 years old.

Survivors include the love of his life, his wife of 66 years, Joyce (Bjur) Anderson; five children, Stuart Anderson (Pam), Vicky Johnson (Jack), Crystal Radke (Brian), Grace Olson (Dale), and Scott Anderson; ten grandchildren, Kalie Olson, Natalie Hereth, Dustin Olson, Kyle Johnson, Tara Schwandt, Sara Goble, Daniel Anderson, Darin Radke, Travis Anderson, and Megan Radke; and 11 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Gust and Helga Anderson; sisters, Rose Ella Anderson, Ardis Anderson, Judith Loven; and brother, Vincent Anderson; and in-laws, Ray Loven and Virgil and Darlene Bjur.
