Arlen Herr, 82, of Wishek, ND, died April 7, 2025, at South Central Health, Wishek. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at 10:30 am at St. Luke Lutheran Church, Wishek. Visitation will be held Monday, April 14, 2025, from 6:00 - 7:00 pm with a prayer service at 7:00 pm at St. Luke Lutheran Church. Burial will take place at St. Luke Cemetery. Arlen was born May 15, 1942, to Lorron and Maggie (Just) Herr. He was raised in Wishek and graduated from Wishek High School in 1961. He went on to attend college at NDSU. He finished his college education at Minneapolis School of Art. He found a job in design and made it his career, becoming active in interior department stores and making himself available for freelancing jobs. He eventually worked his way into management and worked for places like Dayton's, Carson P. Scott, Macy's, Nordstroms and his last job was with Nieman Marcus in Minneapolis as a men's fashion designer. Arlen retired in 2004 and moved back to Wishek where he became active in helping with community projects, interior decorating and working part time for Dahlstrom Funeral Home.

Arlen enjoyed traveling to places like New York City, California, Germany, Paris etc. He also enjoyed buying homes and redoing them and selling them. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

Arlen is survived by his brothers, James (MaryLou) Herr, Milaca, MN and Keith (Jan) Herr, Surprise, AZ; his aunt Lorraine Bauer, Wishek and his uncle George Just, Wishek.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lorron and Maggie Herr.
