The funeral for Arla D. Babitzke, Wishek, ND will be Monday, July 23, 2018 at 11:00 AM at St. Luke Lutheran Church, Wishek, ND.  Visitation will be Sunday from 1:00 to 7:00 PM at Dahlstrom Funeral Home, Wishek, ND.

Arla Deloris Finger daughter of Karl and Katherine (Rotenberger) Finger was born July 13, 1934 near Enderlin, ND.  She attended school and graduated from Enderlin High School.   Arla attended St. Luke School of Nursing and graduated in 1955.  Arla moved to Wishek, ND and worked for the Wishek Community Hospital.  Arla married Donald Babitzke October 6, 1956 at Enderlin, ND.  They made their home rural Wishek where they farmed before moving into Wishek.  Arla was a member of St. Luke Lutheran Church where she was very active singing in the choir. She also taught Sunday School and Vacation Bible School.  Arla was active in the Women's Bible Study and enjoyed quilting with the ladies of the church.  She also was a member of the Wishek Golf Course, the Wishek Senior Citizens, and enjoyed decorating there for the different seasons.  She also loved quilting, traveling, and gardening.

Arla died Friday, July 20 at the Wishek Community Hospital, Wishek, ND.  She was 84 years old.

Arla is survived by her husband Donald of 61 years; two sons, Joel (Tammy) Babitzke, Clearwater, FL; Scott Babitzke, Mandan, ND; one daughter, Tammie (Keith) Yapp, Sartell, MN; five grandchildren, Joshua Yapp, Jacob Yapp, Alyssa Yapp, Katrina Babitzke, and Katia Babitzke; two brothers, Howard (Elaine) Finger and Duane (Beverly) Finger; brother-in-law, Douglas Babitzke; sister-in-law, Yvonne Aasen; and many nieces and nephews.  Arla was preceded in death by one son, Glenn Babitzke; one daughter-in-law, Charlotte Babitzke; parents, Karl and Katherine; infant brother, Leroy; sister-in-law, Louise Bobzin.  Share memories and sign online guest book at www.dahlstromfuneralservice.com .  Dahlstrom Funeral Home, Wishek, ND entrusted with arrangements
