Ardis Irene Anderson was born April 21, 1923 in Kulm, ND to Gust and Helga (Erickson) Anderson. She graduated from Kulm High School in 1942. She lived in the Kulm area all of her life. She was active in the Kulm Assembly of God church and was Sunday School secretary for 41 years. She served as Swede Township Clerk and school clerk. Ardis was well known as an encourager and prayer warrior who supported and cared for others by sending birthday cards, notes, letters, and emails. She was very hospitable and enjoyed baking, cooking, and hosting gatherings for parties, games and visiting. She so enjoyed being with people, hearing of their lives and praying for them. Ardis had a huge heart of compassion. Her faith in Jesus was deep, well nurtured by her regular reading of the Bible and devotional writings. Ardis made many notes about faith and deep reflections of how to live a life to honor Christ. Her intentions were reflected in her life. If you met her, you knew she lived out of what she dwelt on. Ardis celebrated with us in a precious family reunion July 10-12, 2015. She joined us in activities including a campfire, games, visiting and celebrating. She had so looked forward to this time of seeing family. She was a very giving person including making 94 crocheted hand towels and dish cloths given to family at the reunion.

Ardis went home to be with Jesus on Tuesday, July 14, 2015 – a time she had longed and prayed for, at Ave Maria Village in Jamestown, ND. She was 92 years old.

She is survived by six siblings: Eugene (Lucille) Anderson; Judith Loven; Vincent (Arla) Anderson; Arley (Joyce) Anderson; June (Lamoine) Beaver; Joe (Shirley) Anderson. Ardis is also survived by 24 nieces and nephews, 53 great nieces and nephews and 23 great great nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, her sister Rose Ella, a sister-in-law, a brother-in-law and 2 nephews. Share memories and sign online guest book at www.dahlstromfuneralservice.com .
