Annie Wald, 97, of Wishek, ND, died September 1, 2023 at the Wishek Hospital. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Thursday, September 7, 2023 at St. Luke Lutheran Church, Wishek. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 6, 2023 from 5-7 PM with a prayer service at 7:00 PM at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Wishek. Burial will be held at St. Patrick's Catholic Cemetery. Ann, the daughter of Mathias and Kenegunda (Vetter) Wolf was born February 7, 1926 in rural Emmons County. She grew up on the family farm and attended country School. Ann married Kasmier Wald on October 2, 1945 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, east of Linton. They farmed on Kasmier's parents farm until moving to Wishek in 2007.

Ann was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Wishek. She loved dancing to old-time music, singing with the Young German Singers for 20 years. She had her own way of yodeling with the German singers. She also loved playing pinochle and spending time with family. She was famous for making her own homemade noodles and kuchen, which was always a big hit at the Wolf Reunions and with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Ann is survived by her daughter, Addie (Bill) Lea, Bismarck; two sons, Larry Wald (friend Wilma Wiest), Wishek and Donnie (Brenda) Wald, Bismarck; son-in-law Tom Hilzendeger, Bismarck; 11 grandchildren, 7 step-grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, 13 step-great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Frances Leingang, Fargo and Julie Sorlein, Fargo; one brother-in-law, Donald Foster, Fargo; sisters-in-law, Sharon Wolf and Darlene Wolf.

She was preceded in death by her husband; two daughters, Bernice Vetter and Lorraine Hilzendeger; son-in-law, Tony Vetter; daughter-in-law, Linda Wald; five sisters and four brothers.
