The funeral for Anna Schatz, Napoleon, ND will be Monday, July 24, 2017 at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church in Napoleon, ND at 10:30 AM. Visitation will be Sunday from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM with a prayer service at 4:00 PM at Dahlstrom Funeral Home, Napoleon, ND. Burial will be at St. Philip Neri Catholic Cemetery, Napoleon, ND.
Anna Feist, daughter of Markus and Margaret (Holzer) Feist was born September 18, 1921 in Emmons County, where she grew up and attended school.  Anna was united in marriage to Anton G. Schatz November 5, 1945 at St. Boniface Church rural Kintyre, ND.  They made their home near Tappen, then later at Anton's home place in Logan County, where they farmed and raised their family.  They retired in Napoleon.

Anna died Sunday, July 16, 2017 at the Napoleon Care Center, Napoleon, ND.  She was 95 years old.
Anna is survived by her children; Betty Aberle, Fran Sauvageau, Sue and Jim Tormanen, Gabe Schatz, Larry and Cheryl Schatz, Mark and Judith Schatz, Maggie Schatz, John and Irene Schatz; 29 grandchildren; 48 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren; her sisters, Margie Walbuam and Regina Feist and brother-in-law, Carl and Caroline Schatz.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Anton, two daughters, Theresa Marquart and Helen Schatz, three sons-in-law, Sebastian Aberle, Oscar Nylund and Rick Sauvageau and two grandchildren; her parents and parents-in-law, many sisters and sisters-in-law and many brothers and brothers-in-law.
