The memorial services for Anna Mae Konkler, Lisbon, ND will be held Friday, April 6, 2018 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Lisbon, North Dakota, at 2:00 PM with Pastor Norman Anderson officiating. Interment will be at the Oakes Cemetery, Oakes, ND.

Anna Mae Johnson was born Sept. 4, 1925, to Emory and Selma (Uhlhorn) Johnson, in Clement Township in rural Dickey County, ND near Oakes, ND.  She was raised on the family farm and attended rural school, graduating from Oakes High School.  Anna was married to Clayton Konkler on Jan. 4, 1944, at Webster, South Dakota.  They farmed for many years in Yorktown Township in rural Dickey County, North Dakota.  In 1968, they moved to Lynnwood, Washington, where Ann worked as a bookkeeper for The Cycle Barn for many years.  Clayton died April 15, 1989, at Lynnwood, Washington.  Ann returned home to North Dakota, living in Lisbon, North Dakota during the summer months and she spent her winter months in Mesa, Arizona.  She was active in her faith, serving in her church, working with Stephen Ministries and the local women's groups.  She enjoyed visiting with friends, dancing, playing cards and games.  She took up painting later in life and was active in her Mesa community leading a women's aquatic exercise class for many years.

Anna passed away on Wednesday, March 7, 2018, in the Mission Palm Skilled Nursing facility at Mesa, Arizona.  She was 92 years old.

Anna is survived by her daughter, Donna (Tom) Dickson of Everett, Washington, and son Timothy (Peggy) Konkler, of Plymouth, Minnesota.  She loved and adored her four grandchildren; Chris DuBois, Michael DuBois, Heidi Konkler-Goldsmith and Amber Konkler, plus her seven great-grandchildren; Kylie Dickson, Keith Dickson, Camryn DuBois, Kori DuBois, Anthony Goldsmith, Steven Goldsmith and Timothy Goldsmith.  She also leaves two sisters Florence Dahlstrom, Wishek, North Dakota, and Sylvia Greenwood of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.  Ann has a dear friend and partner Ernie Carter of Lisbon, North Dakota that she shared her life with for many years. Anna was preceded in death by her husband Clayton, her daughter Karen DuBois and son-in-law Kenneth DuBois, and grandsons, Andrew Dickson and Peter DuBois, her parents and two siblings Ruth DeWitt and Jack Johnson.  Share memories and sign online guest book at www.dahlstromfuneralservice.com .  Dahlstrom funeral Home, Wishek, ND entrusted with arrangements.
