The funeral for Alvina Frances Piatz, Wishek, ND will be Thursday, July 25, 2019 at 10:30 AM at St. Patrick's Catholic Church at Wishek, ND.  Visitation will be Wednesday from noon to 4:30 PM at Dahlstrom Funeral Home and from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM with a prayer service at 7:00 PM at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Wishek, ND.  Burial will be at St. Patrick's Catholic Cemetery, Wishek, ND.

Alvina Frances Paul daughter of Peter and Barbara (Kuntz) Paul was born September 21, 1939 at Flasher, ND.  She was educated in Flasher, ND.  After her schooling Alvina helped on the family farm. Alvina married Paul Piatz on October 3, 1957 at St. Lawrence Church at Flasher, ND.  They moved to a farm near Wishek in 1960 and continued farming until their retirement in 1997 and there upon selling their farm to their third son, Boyd Michael Piatz.  Paul and Alvina then moved into Wishek. They celebrated their 55 ^th wedding anniversary. As a couple their favorite pastime was dancing, and Polkas and Waltzes were their favorite.  She was a great cook and baker and enjoyed sharing her goods with many family and friends. She worked hard on the farm and taught her children how to milk and hay. She taught them how to work hard and take care of their families.  Alvina was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Wishek.

Alvina left her loving family on Sunday, July 21, 2019 at the Napoleon Care Center, Napoleon, ND.  She was 79 years old.

Alvina is survived by two sons, Edward (Connie) Piatz, Napoleon, ND; Boyd (Nancy) Piatz, Wishek, ND; four daughters, Debbie (Garry) Goebel, Wishek, ND; Bernadette (Darwain) Vetter, Wishek, ND; Claudette (Mark) Leever, Scottsbluff, NE; Janine (Stayton) Wood, Littleton, CO; one daughter-in-law; Rhonda Piatz, Ashley, ND; 20 grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren, 1 great great-grandchild and 1  great-grandchild on the way;  three brothers; Donald (Judy) Paul, Roger (Carol) Paul, Peter Paul; two sisters; Angie (Grant) Bottcher, Gloria Paul.
